1 After seeing the documentary "RiP! A Remix Manifesto," what did you find most interesting/surprising/alarming in the video as it relates to the First Amendment or freedom of expression? Please cite an EXAMPLE or two from the documentary, AND relate it to your own experience. The freedom or lack there of within the constitution is surprising and in some ways alarming. If I were to tell a secret to an entire room, I wouldn’t be able to reasonably be upset for people repeating or sharing that information. By sharing that with them it then became just as much their knowledge as mine. Which is exactly how I view the music industry. If you are going to get on stage in front of hundreds of thousands of people. You should not be so alarmed and upset by the fact that your music is being used and shared, as you shared it with them. When Jamie Thomas spoke of downloading a total of 24 songs, and how doing that action turned her life upside down. That shocked me to be completely

13 Reasons Why Summary: Hannah Baker attends your everyday American high school. Hannah created seven tapes in which are audio suicide tapes. On the first tape, she tells her listeners that she holds each of them individually responsible for her death in one way or another. After each person responsible listens to all seven tapes, they pass them on to the next. She also created a map for the listeners to use so they can physically follow her story. The story is mainly narrated by Hannah’s thoughts and actions. The seven tapes contain thirteen different stories. One for each person that she mentally held accountable for her suicide attempt. Essentially many different interactions occurred between her and her fellow peers, in which were negative interactions. She even reached out to her school councilor who seemed unhelpful. Which Rochelle Garnet from Rye NY saw that it may discourage adolescents from seeking help. Portraying that school counselors and adults are us

Topic 1   The product I chose to search was the Fidget Spinners. Which as a product originally created with hopes to help those who suffer from attention deficit disorder or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. I think it was a great idea and potentially does hold the ability to help many. However the general public got wind of this, and in the world we live in today capitalized immediately. At this point in time I do not think one singular brand has trademarked their name. Unfortunate as that is, because at this point in time they could be selling the gadgets for a very high price. The target audience, is not only younger kids of the elementary school age but all the way up to college age young adolescence. The products are marketed as fun, small mindless toys. The use of celebrity presence and use regarding this item is exactly what has made it so successful. The fun colors, shapes and different patterns make them customizable. It happened almost overnight, but it has not fad

Forum #2

Topic One I personally follow around 400 people on twitter, 1,000 people on instagram, 1,300 friends on Facebook who I defiantly know about half of. I follow some celebrities, such as the Kardashians @KUWTK , people from Disney shows and of course @realDonaldTrump.  Which is a complete joke. I follow his account purely for entertainment and to be kept up to date on what people are making fun of via social media. Such as  covfefe.  I also enjoy following people I follow on YouTube, as they refer to themselves as lifestyle vloggers. Some of my favorites are @tashafarsaci I enjoy following celebrities on social media because sometimes they tweet updates of their show. I also feel that it keeps me up to date on their lives when it is reality shows. I could use social media as more of an intellectual tool then I do. However I am only 20 years old and at this time I prefer to use social media for entertainment.  I retweet and share things that make me feel something. As cli
